The position will be responsible for monitoring material flow and shipment activities, ensuring timely material availability for production and compliance with shipping plans.
Main responsibilities include:
- Follow up on sales order shipment requirements and prepare the corresponding shipment plan.
- Monitor the progress of material containers coming from China.
- Coordinate with the Traffic/Logistics team to expedite customs clearance and container pickup.
- Track materials in transit and identify potential material shortage risks.
- Maintain stable inventory levels and prevent material shortages or excess inventory.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Warehouse, Sales, and Logistics teams to resolve daily issues.
- Review daily production progress through the MES system.
- Coordinate with the Sales team to prepare the weekly shipment plan.
- Inform the Warehouse team about incoming materials and unloading priorities.
- Prepare weekly reports and KPIs related to shipment and container fulfillment.
- Identify and follow up on issues that may affect delivery or transit schedules.
- Support additional activities related to material control and production requirements.
Experiencia y requisitos
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience: 3 years of experience in Material Control, Production Planning, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related areas preferred.
- Languages: Fluent English and Spanish are required.
- Knowledge of production planning and control.
- Experience using SAP.
- Knowledge of MES systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of RPA is preferred.
- Experience analyzing and tracking material and inventory information.
